Hi! I’m back! ;)

No, aliens did not abduct me, nor did I go to an expedition to Mars ;P

There’s a perfectly good reason why I haven’t been blogging for a while. I had no access to an Internet connection this past week. I initially met this with grumpiness since I missed on the weekly posts I had to do, but I couldn’t deny the fact that there are benefits of not having Internet access. It usually takes me 3-4 days to finish a book but I finished reading four books last week. I think that’s a personal record or something. While I spend a considerable amount of time in the Internet everyday, having no access to a connection allowed me to concentrate on reading. Which is always good, right?

All those four books I read were for my TBR Pile Challenge. Adding that to the four books I already read from January and February, and I’ve already read eight books. That means, I only have four more books to go to complete the challenge. I think I’ll go ahead and complete the challenge this March. Who knows? Maybe I’ll complete all my reading challenges this month, including the Graphic Novel and Comics Challenge, and the Aussie Author Challenge.

As for my plans this March, I’m going to concentrate on (hopefully) finishing my reading challenges, reading more, visiting blogs and rolling out my reviews. I’m waaay behind my reviews but I promised myself to take it one step (review?) at a time and just enjoy all these blogging stuff instead of being pressured to do so. I’m just glad that I have this to share my opinions about books I’ve read and of course, to meet book lovers as well.

Well, that’s about it for now. I need to catch up on my posts and visiting your blogs.

I’m currently reading The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, by the way, and I’m enjoying it immensely.

How’s March with you so far?

  1. Yay, you’re back :), you seem to have read some great books. I loved Handmaid’s Tale. What did you think about it?

    • Hi, Nish! So glad to be back. A lot of catching up to do but I don’t mind ;) I hope you’re not in a reading slump anymore, Nish :)
About The Handmaid’s Tale – well, I must say I found it disturbing but I enjoyed reading it. It’s a great story, all those issues about women… It’s unsettling.

    • Thanks, Shannon! You know, I honestly wasn’t expecting a lot from The Handmaid’s Tale. I was aware it was a dystopian novel but I wasn’t really prepared to read about how women were viewed in that book. But it was a good story and I loved reading it.
