Top Ten Tuesday hosted by The Broke and The Bookish

1. Pride and Prejudice (Barnes & Noble Collectible Editions) – I think the cover is absolutely beautiful.

2. Untold: The Stories Behind the Photographs by Steve McCurry – From one of my favorite photographers, this book was released this year.

3. The Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson – I’d like to try reading poetry books next year and this would be a good start, don’t you think?

4. Illustration School: Let’s Draw Happy People by Sachiko Umoto – Who doesn’t love doodling? I do!

5. Calling Dr. Laura by Nicole J. Georges – It was nominated for Best Graphic Novels in Goodreads this year so I checked it out. I’m pretty excited to read a lot of graphic novels next year, even graphic novels that double as memoirs.

6. Shortcomings by Adrian Tomine – What did I say with graphic novels again? This is another one and I sure would like to have this! ;)

7. Boxers & Saints Boxed Set by Gene Luen Yang – Another book nominated for Best Graphic Novels in Goodreads this year. So many find this latest work of Gene Luen Yang excellent!

8. Summer Blonde by Adrian Tomine – Another book from Adrian Tomine – and another graphic novel! This is a compilation of Adrian Tomine’s comic series Optic Nerve.

9. Doctor Sleep: [Traycased Edition signed by Stephen King] – This is published by Cemetery Dance Publications and it’s huge! It contains artwork (color paintings) by Vincent Chong, black & white full page illustrationsby Erin S. Wells and illustrations by legendary horror artist Glenn Chadbourne! If that got you interested, you can check out some sample art work here.

10. The Briefcase by Hiromi Kawakami – The story sounds intriguing. I heard it was made into a movie in Japan.

I hope everyone’s having a great time with their families and friends! :) Happy Holidays!
